I seem you're aware of this well that there's a new Buzz Lightyear movie coming out.

This is probably old news for you at this point.

Yeah, I mean, for the past, I want to say 30 years, I've often been wondering, like,

how did Buzz Lightyear come to be?

So I think it'll be really interesting to find out what's his story.

Actually, what I love about this new Buzz Lightyear movie is Chris Evans, the star, replacing

my man, Tim Allen, had to take to Twitter to clarify that it's not the backstory of the

doll that we see in the previous Toy Story movies.

It's not the fictional universe within the Toy Story universe of Buzz Lightyear and what

is its star command.

It's the story of the actual astronaut who in the world of Toy Story inspired the fictional

character Buzz Lightyear within the fictional world of Toy Story.

Is it the, do I have it, right?

That's right.

And this is so funny because when the first Toy Story came out, these were clearly meant

to be archetypal characters, you know, Woody is a cowboy, Buzz is a spaceman, and that's

all you need to know.

They just represent two kinds of entertainment, one of which sort of in the popular consciousness

eclipsed the other.

Yeah, two genres, right, like the Andy's more interested in Buzz Lightyear because he

represents like the new, the future.

Yeah, space and shit, and yeah, Woody is like an old world kind of toy.
