without heat here for much of the last week. It has been restored. It was restored

yesterday. We're still without electricity in much of the apartment.

This is kind of a funny story that I want to share with the listeners.

You see, the furnace system has been a problem on this property for at least the last 14 months.

And the on-off solution has been, go turn it off turn it on and that for a while

would last a while and then armies of electricians have come in it's like that's like the

home heating equivalent of like when your n64 game wouldn't work and you'd blow on the cartridge and then after a while the blowing just stops doing anything if indeed it did anything at all in the first place.

And the landlord in his infinite wisdom thought, oh well we've got the problem solved. And it's like, again, as the problem has gotten worse and worse, as the on-off solution has been off more and more. And like this was fine during the summer of course because you don't need heat

don't need heat but in late November it starts to be a bit of a problem and then the on-off solution just stopped

working and I should say just as a point of information, in the last kind of week, it has really started to feel like late fall to early winter and Toronto.

Temperatures have gone down quite a lot.

So the heat just stopped working altogether and negotiating

with the landlord during this has been a little bit like the dead parrot sketch. Eventually, you know,

it required a call to the city, let's put it that way. And the short-term

solution before they could replace the entire furnace was they're going to get us all

space heaters. So they did that. We all got space heaters and then this is a

property that's like four floors, there's a unit on every floor so everyone got a space

heater and everyone had the space heater on and that blew out the electricity and then we said this to the
