Did you ever watch the, the show Doug growing up the kids cartoon? Oh, sure. I never, I never particularly enjoyed it, but it was on, you know.

If it was on between the hours of three and six o'clock, I watched it. I don't even know if I enjoyed it either, but I feel like I watched it, you know, tuned in each week to experience Doug's trials and tribulations trying to win the heart of the orange patty mayonnaise.

I don't remember if he ever did. Doug was just like the poor man's Charlie Brown, if he asked me. He was like millennial Charlie Brown and, you know, we, we've already got Charlie. So who needs it?

Well, I probably haven't seen that show for 20 years, but I bet you I could still whistle the whole theme song. Anyway, the reason I brought it up is because when I watched it, I don't know if this was the case for you, but it came with this tag that appeared at the end of every opening credit sequence where it said brand spankin' new Doug.

And I don't think I ever saw a Doug that wasn't brand spankin' new Doug. I think it might have debuted as brand spankin' new Doug, which is a pretty audacious gesture.

It's very very much kind of, yeah, Malibu, Stacy, Puchi kind of territory, sort of like how every center is Democrat. Now launch as a presidential campaign. It's like they're the same as all the others, but they're brand spankin' new.

Now I'm trying to remember the Doug theme song. It was something kind of like dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup, dup.

Well, that kind of satchin' to you know. It's funny because that's not what it was at all, but uh...

I got the spirit of it.

Well, yeah, much like the film we watched this week, I think you got to the ecstatic truth of it rather than the objective truth

It definitely had a type of whimsy that they often use things to market to children from what I remember the main theme was whistled and it went something like
