| 1:21.5 | He's considered a minor prophet, not because his significance is minor, but because the size of his book is small compared to other |
| 1:33.1 | writers. And because much of the material that we find in the book of the prophet Micah parallels |
| 1:40.3 | that of the prophet Isaiah. There's a certain sense in which this prophet has been overshadowed |
| 1:47.4 | and eclipsed by the larger work and significance of Isaiah. It's been said that Micah, in a sense, |
| 2:05.7 | combines two other minor prophets, the prophet Amos and also the prophet Josea. And we recall that Amos had a very strong emphasis on social justice |
| 2:13.9 | and his prophecies were basically oracles of judgment and of doom. |
| 2:20.8 | And in contrast to that, we see the emphasis on God's divine mercy and love and forgiveness |
| 2:27.5 | in the work of the prophet Hosea. |
