Why would they care if I'm on Xbox you know for I'm on I think we all get our own free time when you're all away from here are you thinking about me at home? I would hope not

Michael Parsons defending himself against criticism that has been directed to him with a call coming from inside the house.

Malie Hooker called him out for his podcasting in season. A distraction, need to be focused

on football. And I look at it very simply, yes, you do have a life away from the sport and it's important to have some balance, but perception is reality.

And if whatever you're doing in your free time is keeping to yourself, nobody's in a position to say, hey, this

guy's not focused all the time.

He's not focused the way he should be.

He's distracted.

But if you have this platform that you utilize and there's also risk

and maybe you're going to say something in that podcast that's going to piss off

one of your teammates, you're going to call somebody out. I remember when Ben

Rothberger used to do a half hour on the radio every week and he would use

that platform to make some passive aggressive or aggressive aggressive criticisms of players,

it created problems to the point where he eventually stopped doing it.

There's I think a nuance there that as Michael Parsons gets older and develops into more of a leader he will

understand it he's only in his fourth season and he's a great player so he

should get a lot of leeway here.

That's just how it goes.

We know that.

But I understand the concern and I think at some point he'll realize on his own that there is a perception issue that goes into this.

For now he clearly is not ready to agree with that assessment.
