In our five-year journey through the whole Word of God, we're traveling through the small Old Testament book written by the prophet Micah.

And Micah tells us about a losing battle the northern kingdom of Israel fought with Assyria.

It ended when all ten tribes of the North were carried into captivity.

And though Jerusalem didn't fall at that time, Micah wrote that Jerusalem would become

a heap of ruins.

And sure enough, 100 years later, Jerusalem was dust.
