the second leg of the Sunshine Double has been soggy, salty, and dramatic on and off the court.

And as Miami Open tournament director James Blake reminded us on the Q&Andy this past week,

every event has its unforeseen challenges, and this year's event has been no different.

Rain wreaked havoc on the schedule early, forcing Arena Sabalanka to start her title defense

off stadium court. She said that she was shocked by the decision, but in true Salbalinka fashion,

she handled business anyways. Then there was Stefano Sitzposs, who had an absolutely brutal night against Arthur Feast. While playing, he was complaining about the lighting on stadium court, telling the umpire that he could not see the ball, and later saying that the organizers should be, quote, ashamed. Meanwhile, beyond the events control, both of Poland's number one players made major

coaching changes. Igues Vietek split with Coach Wimpheset, saying in a post that it was

time to take a different path. And Hubey Herkotch parted ways with Nicholas Masu after a seven-match

losing streak. Even our guy, Carlos Alciras, was not immune to the Miami Blues. He lost to

Sebastian Corta in the third round and was visibly frustrated throughout the match.

The L marked the second loss for the world number one in just eight days.

But unlike some interneters, we had served do not think it is all lost for Carlitos.

Now for the good stuff from the near South Beach event. Sabalinka tried the golden glizzy.

Yes, that is the $100 gold leaf hot dog.
