What's up everybody?

Welcome back to Through the Smoke, a Miami Hurricanes podcast here on the 24-7 Sports Network.

I'm Andrew Ivans joined as always by David Lake. David, Florida State Week. It doesn't

really feel like a Florida State Week in years prior, but it's a big one. It's a rivalry game.

Before we get into that, how you doing? I'm doing good. Yeah, I'm excited. I mean, for those of you that don't know, I am a Miami alum.

And, you know, I think overall I do a fairly good job of limiting my homerism. But I have to admit,

Florida State Week kind of always gets those homer juices going a little bit. So yes, it's kind of a weird four and four Miami, Florida State type week.

But I still think the game will be a good game.

It's going to be an exciting game.

And certainly it's a big game for both programs.

Yeah, I mean, it could be worse.

Both teams could have lost.

They could be three and five and it would

really be like a a toilet bowl of sports of sorts but 3 30 a bc i mean i know it's going up against

florida georgia but it's still i believe one of the marquee games uh on the national schedule

yeah no i think it's it's going to get plenty of ratings, especially for, you know, two, four, and four teams.

Like I said, these games are always close.

I mean, looking back to last year, remember Florida State was a little bit of a dumpster fire going into last year's game,

and Miami had to fight their way back into the game and

it was a a close game and a comeback win for miami so you know it's a cliche but really it's true

with these two teams in a rivalry game anything can happen you can throw records out the window

that just one thing you can know about this game is that it's going to be a good one.
