I'm your host, Gibson Johns, and today on the show, we have an interview with Mia

Calabrese, who is one of the six new additions to Summer House this season.

I think there are arguments to be made for every single new cast member on the show being

a solid ad to the sharehouse.

But Mia feels like she's just that much more of just like a natural fit.

Like she has truly been such a lovely welcome presence on the show.

And for a variety of reasons too.

Like it would be one thing if she was just sort of like a fun addition,

the fun party girl who

everyone seemed to like, which of course she is partially that. But also, she's brought so much

more to Summer House than just that. She's truly a girl's girl. She's been there for Sierra in some

emotional moments, but she is also, of course, part of that profound conversation that Sierra,

KJ, and her led at that dinner table

in last week's episode about what it's like moving through the world as a black person,

both on and off of reality TV, which for me is probably one of the, you know,

maybe five most powerful conversations that I've ever watched on Bravo.

It was a truly special moment that I

will never forget. And I just feel like the three of them did such an excellent job at

communicating their perspectives and were so forthcoming and open about their experiences and how

great was it also to see their white counterparts, just listen, just take it in, just hear them out,

hear their perspectives, not judge or correct or be defensive. They just quietly supported
