Derek writes. Hi Dave and John, this is really. in trouble with sending mail in mobile me. It's been an intermittent problem since

installing Lyon. I tried resetting all my settings for the account and I still get

the following message. Connections to the server SMTP.me.com on the default ports timed out.

Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or try, click try later to leave the message in your outbox until it can be sent. I contacted Mobile Me

chat support and they basically told me that Mobile Me is not supported in Lyon.

Am I being unrealistic in thinking the world's most advanced operating system not supporting

its own service is a bit daft. The solution given to me was to delete and

reinstall my mobile me account. I would very much like to avoid that as I have

several gigabytes of data in several mailboxes that I would very much like to avoid that as I have several gigabytes of data in several mailboxes

that I would be forced to re-download if I were to proceed.
