Number 256 for Monday, April 26th, fancy. Greetings folks and welcome to the Mac observers at Geek Cap. I'm Dave Hamilton here

Oh, oh, just up for a little nap here. That's right.

So this is show number 256, which we decided was special enough

to warrant a special occasion, because 256 is of course a very geeky number John.

Well it's 2 to the 8th I believe. Now some people argued that you know

255 is a magic number if you include zero which I certainly agree but we didn't include

zero in fact there never was a show zero well that's what I was going to say somebody wrote me

and I said well we'd have to record a show zero in order to make this significant so we're not going to record

a show zero no the time machine record a show 256 this is it so two to the eighth for you people

that count in base two and if you don't then try it it's cool.

That's right and for everyone listening on the podcast feed which is of course most of

you we are doing this we are recording this while also

broadcasting our our video live over U-stream but don't sweat it we will do our

best to ensure that the audio is full of all the information that it needs to be.

So one of the things that we talked about, you know, when we did our hundredth show, John, we did a pretty cool thing.

We talked about all the computers that you and I had each used and then of course you know that

kind of told the story of how we met or at least bits and pieces of that story and so

of course we didn't want to rehash that but it was so much fun and everybody seemed to enjoy it, including, I know you and I.
