| 0:00.0 | Episode number 115 of the Mojo for Running podcast, my big Cottonwood Marathon weekend. |
| 0:36.5 | Welcome to the Mojo for Running podcast. I'm the coach, Debbie Boyles, and this is the podcast for middle of the packers, regular people not afraid to work up a sweat, who embrace the outdoors and that wonderful feeling of endorphins surging through their veins. |
| 0:38.6 | My goal is to provide the information you need to achieve your goals. On September 10th, my friends and I ran down a mountain |
| 0:45.8 | in Utah. It was a race that started at 10,000 feet. It was really dark that early and really cold, |
| 0:53.0 | but what a great adventure we had. I hope every one of you |
| 0:56.9 | will at some point get to travel with your running club or running friends, just even a small |
| 1:02.5 | group of running friends, to race in another city. You know, when you're a kid, every day seems to |
| 1:07.2 | hold a great potential for adventure. I was never one of those kids to sleep in because I |
| 1:12.4 | didn't want to miss any time of any day because I had that much fun when I was a kid. You know, |
| 1:17.2 | when we were young, that might be turning the dining room chairs upside down and covering them |
| 1:21.3 | with sheets to make a fort. Years later, it was spending the weekend out of town with friends |
| 1:26.4 | at a swim meet. Great times and great |
| 1:29.2 | memories. Then we grow up and a lot of grownups don't get to experience that kind of adventure. |
| 1:36.5 | Oh, there are family vacations and such as that, but adventures with friends somehow they're different. |
| 1:43.2 | And I suspect that many people never get to |
| 1:45.3 | experience that as adults. Everyone should though, because those experiences keep us young. |
| 1:51.8 | Last weekend, I got to share the adventure that was the big Cottonwood Marathon, which starts |
| 1:56.6 | at the top of a mountain outside of Salt Lake City. 20 of our run Tampa club members ran either the half or the fall. |
| 2:03.8 | That's actually a small contingent for our club, |
| 2:06.7 | but since over 60 of us made the trip to do Grandma's marathon in Duluth in June, |
| 2:11.9 | not as many could get away this time. |
| 2:14.7 | What an amazing weekend, but that's redundant, right? How could it be anything but |
