Ashley Hardwood started off as a graduate from Carnegie Mellon University as an installation artist,

but she soon found her way into wood-turning to make a little extra money.

As she started off at the farmers market and craft fair scene, selling products.

And as a way to stand out, she started doing some demoing of turning in her booth.

From there, she found her love for teaching, got a couple great mentors,

and she's become a world-renowned wood-turning teacher herself.

And she talks to us about this and her incredible journey to being one of the premier

teachers in the field today.
