John and I were out in Joshua Tree a few weeks ago with Ben Uaida and Mike Montgomery, and they're two of the three hosts of the Modern Maker podcast, along with Chris Salimony.

And the guys just started up a new business aimed at makers.

It's called Maker Brand Co, and they're looking to fill the gaps in the market and provide clean, simple, no-fluff versions of products that we all use in the shop, like clamps, finishes, hand saws, and apparel. We talk with the guys about what it's like to start a new product business and some of the learnings and struggles they've had during the startup. But before we get into the interview, we want to thank our new patrons that joined the MFP tribe this week.
