Hello again, I'm Armin Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International,

a daily look at the issues Americans care about most. President Felipe Calderon declared war on drug cartels and called out the

army five months ago. Since then, gruesome violence is on the increase and it's migrating

from rural states to Mexico City. Some fear the army itself is at risk from the same drug lords who've corrupted local police.

Others blame soldiers for abuses of human rights. On to the point, is Calderon making things better

or worse? Does he have any choice? What's the responsibility of the U.S.? Where the Drug
