0:57.7 | Welcome back to another episode of Courtside with Courtney. Today I want to do a little behind the scenes of a brand trip, talk about my Mexico trip, life lately, all the things. So it's so interesting too because I haven't been on a brand trip in a hot minute that wasn't a dibs brand trip. And it's so different going on one of these brand trips and the behind the scenes. But I was realizing when I was DMing with you guys that a lot of people have no idea what goes on behind the scenes of a trip like this and what it's really like on the day to day. And so I thought we could just talk about it and that would be kind of fun. And I also have some funny stories from the trip and just like times in general. I got to bring Natalie, my best friend, which was so fun because they said bring |
1:03.7 | a plus one or they said that you could bring a plus one. And it was all influencer plus ones. Natalie's not an |
1:08.9 | influencer. However, we do make our skincare videos on my page together. |
1:14.2 | And so I made the proposition. |
1:16.8 | I was like, look, I love to make my skincare videos with Natalie. |
1:19.8 | I think she'd be perfect for this. |
1:21.6 | And I just knew too. |
1:22.5 | Like, it would be so fun to be able to go with my best friend. |
1:24.8 | The content would be good because it's like I have my |
1:27.7 | person there, you know, ended up being amazing. And so we land, we, so Natalie flew in actually to |
1:34.4 | Mexico early with Taylor because they were going. Taylor's family was already going. And so they were |
1:39.5 | already there. I flew in and met them. And I also have like such a hack for traveling. Shout out to Taylor on this one because she taught me this. So suitcase, carry on suitcase. I do like in a way one that can go up obviously when you carry it on. I'm still traumatized from Audrey losing her entire suitcase on the way to her wedding in Mexico. And I just feel like if your trip is short, you can't afford, you can never really afford to lose your luggage, but especially if you have like specific outfits packed for specific days and things and moments. Like, you just can't afford to have your luggage missing for the entire time. Like, it's brutal. And so I've been a carry-on girl lately. I never thought I'd say that because |
2:18.7 | it is so much harder to pack in a carry-on, but here's what you do, okay? This is a hack for everybody. So you have a carry-on suitcase, specifically, I like the away one. And then you need a duffel. There's so many different good duffel bags, I feel like, but you need one that has, like, the strap where you can slide like over your handles |
2:35.3 | and then you put the duffel on pop of the suitcase. You basically have two suitcases, but you |
2:41.0 | don't have to check anything. So it's awesome. And then I do like a little fanny pack like cross |
2:45.4 | body situation, which like my dad was on to something with the fanny pack. We used to give him so much shit collectively, like as a family. We constantly teased him because he wore a fanny pack like all the time. And we were always like, Dad, you're such a nerd with your fanny pack. And I feel like now I've been wearing one for like five years and it's still so convenient. When you get used to wearing a fanny pack, like you don't want to go back because you have everything right there at your disposal constantly. So anyways, you take like the crossbody fanny pack situation, but you flip it to the back. So they really can't tell that you have another bag. And then if for some reason they ask you to take it off, you just put it in your duffles. It's not a big deal, but you've got your cross-body fanny pat, flip it to the back, you got a little sweatshirt around your shoulders or something. You have your duffel, you have your carry-on, you're good to go. So land in Mexico. It's beautiful. I actually got to fly there with Alicia and Paige, which was really fun because I know them. So it was like nice to have the travel buddies for the day. Then we got there, right when we got there in the car, |
3:25.1 | they had like a nice car for us. because I know them so it was like nice to have the travel buddies for the day. Then we got there, |
3:41.6 | right when we got there in the car, they had like a nice car for us and they had snacks. So you guys know |
