Last time Mark Vientos hit a home run, it was that opposite field Grand Slam in San Diego.

The Mets blew that game and lost.

Last night at Williamsport, not the case.

Hit high in the inner right field, pretty deep.

the ball was not carrying. He carried that one out and over the fence opposite field. It blew

the game open in the fifth, and the Mets went on to take the rubber game for the Mariners seven to

three after what was another brutal loss Friday night at City Field. You got the sparkling

debut for Nolan McLean Saturday, followed up by last night's victory

in the Little League classic. Here was Vientos on that whole experience, enjoying the Little Leaguers earlier in the day, and then having them there to watch the big leaguers in the Sunday night standalone spot. It was awesome. It was awesome. right before that bat.

One of the kids told me, he was like,

he said, hey, Gantos, if you're at home run,

you got to give me your bat. It was awesome. Right before that, I A kid, one of the kids told me, he was like,

he said, hey, Viantos, if you're in a home run,

you got to give me your bat.

Unfortunately, I was looking for the kid. I couldn't find him after that, but... That's a bummer. It was pretty sick. Maybe that I'll track him down. I was a kid on the Metro team, which is from hailing from Connecticut where Viantos was born.

So I'd imagine they can figure that out. I hope so.
