The Mets beat the Pirates 11-7 yesterday.

Just a couple of quickies and we'll move on.

Carson Benj, just because it was his first game as a pro, hit the home run late in the game. And this is after he had struck out a couple of times. So what changed for him? Just calm down. Just like deep breath, calm down. Great atmosphere, great fans, just trying to bring myself back down so I can compete. And the menET offense did a good job early because Pittsburgh took a 2-0 lead on the home run. They were down 2-0-0. They came back with five runs. Five innings then for Freddie Peralta as he got the win in his Met debut on the mound. And even he credits the offense big day for them. Amazing, man. I asked him earlier today before the game.

I said, I need some runs from you guys. Damn, that's crazy. Yeah. Against a really good picture. Yeah, great picture. You know, it wasn't his day today, but it's part of the game. And that's Paul Skeens, who didn't last beyond, well, he didn't get through the first as a matter of fact. And O'Neill Cruz was terrible in center field, and so the Mets take the opener, they will get the day off, they will resume tomorrow. David Peterson takes on Mitch Keller. Yankee-wise, so a couple of things here, before I get to them, because it's going to lead into it, you will see. One other game of note yesterday would be the Orioles beating the Twins 2, one notable because

Pete Alonzo made his Orioles debut, got a very nice ovation from the Baltimore fans.

Just for them to embrace me.

Zero at Batsin just right before that first one is really special.

And I mean, it's a, the dream come true, you know, to have that feeling and it's such a blessing.

And I'm happy we got the win for that.

And so good for him.

So that takes us to Seinfeld now with Tommy.

You'll see this is all kind of related.

They started talking about the Mets changing direction and changing players.

And Seinfeld certainly seemed like he was an Alonzo guy, but also understood that it was time to move on in the GM's eyes. And Tommy says, you know what? Good. Baltimore is the right. That's important. Right? Like, you wish I'm the best in Baltimore because it doesn't matter. The Orioles are just, if anything, for us, they're right. They're almost like an ally because they could go beat the Yankees.

So if anything we rented, you know, Pete Alonzo out to a team that could stick it to the Yankees,

and that's a good thing. And so this was part of their conversation last night on the fan,
