The New York Mets signed Griffin Canning to a one-year deal.

They're paying him about $4.5 million.

Griffin Canning is a former Los Angeles Angel.

He was traded to the Atlanta Braves for Jorge Soler.

And then Atlanta decided to non-tender him.

And the Mets had been linked to Canning a little bit as a potential option.

And they have decided to sign him to this one-year deal of $4.5 million.

So let me calm my fellow Met fan down with this.
