Friday before we went on vacation.

I had basically declared that I wasn't expecting anything out of the Mets.

I didn't expect them to get back to the

NLCS with the way, with the way that they were playing. Of course, they go and they sweep the Phillies

and look pretty good over our break, but then, of course, this terrible series against the Marlins.

And then, of course, you know, now you have the Tigers. It was a great game last night outside

of the pitching. It was great that Juan Soto did what he did. But, I mean, the two things that if I'm going to be glass half full guy right now, I'll do that for you today. I appreciate that because I was definitely glass half empty guy. I was actually no water in the glass. And now I'm going to try to do fluid to the top for you, Brody Van Wagon in style. Okay. Is that this influx of these young pitchers, McLean and Tong, has been awesome. Now, can that continue? That's a big, big if. But it's been awesome. And they're the exact opposite of what we've seen from these other guys. the nibbling and the tiredness and the laboring and all of that.

These guys are bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, throwing balls in the zone, attacking

hitters.

It's just awesome.

So there's that, which we didn't have before we left.

And then also, their record, they play good against good teams. They play crap

against crap teams. So like, there's good teams in the playoffs. So those are my glass

half full things. I still think there's something off and something missing and I still don't

love them as a group. But those are two things that you really look at if you want to be

positive.

You know what I'd love to see. I'd love to see three straight starters go at least seven innings. That's what I'd love to see. That's not happening. That's when you know and things start turning around. But the other thing, too, is I would be remiss if I didn't point out how well Juan Soto has been playing. Oh, yeah. And how important he's been and how many clutch hits he's had.

And quite frankly, it seems like as the season has gone on, he has gotten stronger and

stronger and stronger.
