series at Yankee Stadium, two out of three in a game that was a heartbreaker, even if the final score says

eight to two, two two game, bottom of the eighth inning, disaster strikes.

Before we get into this game, before we recap the series, before we look ahead to Boston,

before we complain wildly about the state of this

Met team, let me complain wildly about the freaking parking lot at Yankee Stadium.

I went to this Sunday night game, and instead of doing a drive home, Rico, I figured

now it's a series ending Rico, let me wait till I get home to the RICO Bronia studio.

And we can politely talk about this series ending. I was in the Jacob Rupert parking lot.

And I'm not a big parking lot guy. When I go to Yankee Stadium, I usually try to find a spot on

the street, sometimes legal, sometimes illegal, and I take my chances. And the reason I do that is because

getting at a Yankee Stadium when you're parked on the street is not that difficult.

But when you go into a lot, it's usually a wait. You know, usually you got to wait, you know,

cars are moving, cars are here, and then you get out of the lot, then there's traffic. But I took Jed, I took my oldest son, so I didn't want to deal with

the street parking, didn't want to deal with him walking up that giant hill on Woody Crest. So I said,

you know what? I'm going to be a responsible, responsible father, and I'm going to go into the parking lot.

What a freaking nightmare.

I timed it. From the moment we got into our car, and yes, we stayed to the bitter end.

And that was part of the problem because a lot of people left early. You know, once Cody Bellinger, it's the Grand Slam, the place empties out. So everyone's in their car. They're preparing to leave.
