We opened this morning with, of course, the Mets who have hit a, not just a pothole,

they have driven, really just driven the vehicle on this season into an abutment where they have been hit head on.

They are nine games out in the loss column.

They are now much closer in the division to last place than they are to first.

And when you hold a mirror up to the Mets, and if they held one up to themselves and looked

at the Braves, the Braves are so significantly better than the Mets in the lineup, in the

starting pitching, in the bullpen, that it's scary.

It's scary when you look at the teams.

When you look at what the MET payroll is and you look at what they put the money in,

the Mets have some real serious issues and are going to need to be bailed out in certain areas.
