and we're back quickly because after we gave the Mets a little bit of a beating this morning,

we thought this would push them to move, not because of what we said, but we thought they really were boxed in and they had to move quickly.

And they did.

And I like the move they made.

I like Bo Bichette.

Okay.

Now, there's two things where you look at the Bichet signing.

Three-year deal.

Good money for him. opt out with a little

$5 million bonus for opting out. But remember, if he has a good enough year to opt out of this deal,

which is three years, $126 million, if he has a good enough year to opt out of these deals,

he had to have a great year. So you take that one

at a time. He's 27 years old. He says he's healthy again. Now, he wasn't a great shortstop.

So him playing third base, he did not have a lot of range at shortstop. But one of the thing

you got to be fair about, though, as you look at his numbers, and I like him,

he's a 300 hitter. He has power. He's got terrific extra base power. I think he's a very,

very good gamer clutch type player. Let the league in composite hits over three years, 190 hits, 189 hits,

181 hits. That's the kind of guy I like this kind of player. And I'll tell you something.

If they wind up with Bichette 3rd, which frees them up to Tray Beatty, I'm not the biggest

baitie guy.
