You know, I don't know how to feel about this past weekend with the Mets

because we were, as you mentioned, really close to coming in here and being super pissed off of that game went a different way yesterday. And now you're thinking, man, you know, you struggle to go into the All-Star break. You come out. You get swept at home on David Wright weekend. Then we're going crazy. But it didn't happen. And they win and they're getting healthier so i'm i'm leaning more

positive but i still don't feel like they're out of this funk yet they're not yeah because they're not

and you know the good thing is is that the phillies have been in the funk the dodgers have been in a funk yeah

uh i would say probably the tigers the cubs seem to be the teams that and and you you know, the Dodgers still have 58 wins. Padres is still hanging around. I mean, they're going to have to add to this bullpen. The thing that drives me crazy about them is it's like when they all, when one goes cold, they all go cold. You know, how many times did Francisco Indoor, Peter Lanzo, and Juan Soto,

you could say Jeff McNeil as well, although he did come through yesterday, but how many times

have they had opportunities to either take the lead or tie the game and strike out? I mean,

like strike out or pop up or hit into a double play.

I mean, it's just been, you know, they just are not scoring with runners and scoring position.

And that is the number one thing to me anyway that bothers me more than anything about this team is about the opportunities that are presented and the ones that are missed for the

most part. I mean, it have been missed pretty much for the last 50 to 60 games.

Yeah, I mean, and that's something that you didn't expect to be an issue. Like, I could expect

maybe the rotation to have issues with the injuries, everybody struggles with middle relief

and bullpens, you know, things like that. But I did not expect this team to struggle to score, especially with men on base. It's not supposed to be like that. I mean, it's just, this is supposed to be an offense that through and through was going to be one of the best we had seen in many years. And they certainly have fallen short of that. Some really good offensive seasons that are happening with Alonzo and now Soto, but whenendor's been cold for too long of a time. You get Nimmo hot and cold, and you just haven't gotten the production from the young guys like you've wanted. One of the big factors I thought going into this year was the development of Mark Vientos and how he was going to be in the middle of that order and turn into a superstar. And I remember saying, like, early on, I'm like, man, you know, I'm a little bit worried about him.

And people crushing me saying he's going to be fine. Well, he hasn't been fine. Anytime Tyrone Taylor's up in a big spot, it's like it's an outweigh and a half of it. Yeah, he might as well go up there with a newspaper. Yeah, it's great. It's great that you can be a defensive center fielder and you can make some really big plays and you're wonderful there.

But it's great. It's great that, you know, you can be a defensive center fielder and you can make some really big plays and you're wonderful there.

But it's like he just cannot come up with a big hit.

You just can't.
