And for the very first time this season, is it Panic City?

A horrible, no good, very bad weekend for the New York matches that get swept by the Tampa

Bay Rays.

And not only did we watch our baseball team get swept, which is bad enough.

After the Mets took a 5-1 lead on Friday night, and it felt like a win was in the bag.

And after Carlos Mendoza made the decision to pull Clay Homes and get some work in for

Paul Blackburn, the Tampa Bay raised for the rest of that game for Saturday and for Sunday

outscored our baseball team 23 to 4.

So it was an ass whipping.

It wasn't just the Mets got swept by Tampa Bay, a team that's played pretty good baseball.

It was the Mets got smoked.

They got assaulted and they got destroyed in a way in which we haven't seen all year.

Number one, they had been swept all year.

This is a team that's done a really, really good job of not losing many series.

And when they have lost series, it hasn't turned into the disaster that we saw over the weekend.

But this was a non-competitive at times bloodbath.

So we got a lot to get to.

There will be a lot of negatives that come out of breaking down these three games.

I will start with a positive, and that positive is the New York Mets own the best record in the National League.
