If you can find a meteorite over the size of one kilogram, the main mineral and gem

museum will hand over $25,000 for one.

Yes, I know.

There are people who are willing to do just that full time.

They're called meteorite hunters.

Okay, it's not easy.

Take Roberto Vargas from Connecticut.

He got an alert that a meteorite exploded over Junction City, Georgia.

He just booked a flight, went straight there within hours.

He made it.

He got a rental car.

Went to the parking lot with a meteorite crashed.

He found a piece. Some of it sold for $100 a gram. Oh, my gosh, $100 a gram. So much so that he quit his job as a full-time therapist. So if you're looking for something unusual to do, you can become a meteorite hunter. Who knew?
