You might have heard that the Talica boys were going to play some heavy shit tonight. Welcome to Metal Up Your Podcast, and here we are back again with another edition of Metal Tails from the Road.

The boys took a little break over the holidays.

And yeah, they, uh, since, well, since I guess recording this, they've done Tulsa.

But, uh, I'm here on the phone via Skype with Danny Santana.

We're talking about Metallica's first performance back after the break, which was the I Am the Highway Chris Cornell tribute concert.

What's up, man? How are you doing?

I'm doing pretty well. Um, slightly somber in my neck of the woods. I had, uh, unfortunately

I had to put one of my dogs down yesterday. So, uh, that was, sorry about that was a big bummer.

But, um, you know what? And I highly recommend this to anybody that ever goes through that or has to one day go through that do it

have an in-home vet come to your house because it makes it so much easier because the last

thing I wanted to do yesterday was drive home from the vet after that happened but it's not even

that much more expensive and it's it's so much more peaceful and amazing so yeah and props to

laps of love in Nashville for or lap of Love in Nashville for, or Lapp of Love in Nashville for

doing that for us.

That's my plug.

But, yeah, anyways, you know, it was really funny.

We actually gave him like a crazy send-off this week.

We had a bunch of friends stop out to see him that loved our dog.

We fed him like hamburgers and steak

and all this stuff and pretty much all the stuff we would never like give to him during his normal

life made him happy at the end absolutely man well um onto positive things here that aren't so
