Hey, it's Friday, time for Marketplace TechBites, where we take a look at a few of the big tech stories.

This week, WhatsApp is offering private chats with its AI.

Plus, Princeton is now going to have its exams supervised after a rise in AI-fueled cheating.

But first, Google's self-driving car division, Waymo, opted to do a voluntary recall of

3,800 of its robotaxies.

This comes after a Waymo drove into a flooded road in San Antonio.

The car was empty and no one was hurt, but Waymo is now updating its software to address

how its cars deal with flooded roads.

I talked about this with Willa Remus, a staff writer at the Atlantic.

As these robotaxies roll out to new markets around the country,

they have all learned to drive on roads in the places they've been before, right?

They learned that Wivos first learned how to drive in the Bay Area,

then they expanded to Phoenix, Arizona.

Now they're expanding to markets in Texas, Austin and San Antonio, and Texas is like the flash

flood capital of the country.

Phoenix and San Francisco, obviously not known for heavy rains.

So one of the challenges is every time you go

into a new environment, all the stuff you've learned about how to drive safely can get challenged
