I always like to start with something interesting.

And America's first national emergency broadcast system.

Do you know what year it launched in?

1951, yeah, in the heat of the Cold War.

Now, the goal was to use, yes, radios to alert everyone of an enemy attack.

Of course, the system has grown up, and the last time we tested it was back in

2011. Well, it's about time to have another run, so I want you to mark this down on your

calendars. This October 4th at 220 p.m. Eastern, or 1120 a.m. Pacific, you're going to get a distinct

alarm and a message from FEMA on your devices. It's going to say something like,

this is just attached to the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. Now, what I want you to do is tell

your family members and friends about this now because otherwise, you know, they'll be like,

what's going on with my phone? Everything's all getting like Freaky Friday on me. Trust me,

we all have that one person in our lives.

So you might as just like, you know, biting in the bit right now.

Just tell them, hey, listen, October 4th, you're going to get an emergency alert.
