That means I have the great honor of sharing the stage with three very wise men who we

jokingly call Hoover's Goodfellows.

Geostratist Hopeless Optimist, H.R. McMaster.

And historian and author, Neil Ferguson, Hoover Institution, senior fellows all.

So those you are watching this, the applause you hear, we're recording this live in the in the

tray tail building of the Hoover Institution here on the campus of Stanford

University at what the Hoover Institution calls its fall retreat so this will

explain the hopefully numerous rounds of applause you'll hear over the course

of the next 50 minutes so gentlemen good to see you it's nine o'clock on the

West Coast and HR what comes to mind is the Army ads from years ago

be all you can be.

Remember, there's one that had the tagline,
