Straight into that first story with local elections less than a week away, a row has erupted

between the Metropolitan Police and the Green Party leader. Met Commissioner Mark Rowley

has been accused of political interference just days before councils,

majorities and the nations, or Scotland and Wales, go to the polls.

It began when Polanski reposted a tweet containing both this video of the arrest of the suspect

involved in a stabbing attack on two Jewish men in North London on Wednesday,

as well as accompanying text that described the Met police officers as, quote,

repeatedly and violently kicking a mentally ill man in the head

when he was already incapacitated by Taser.
