Yeah. Yesterday, the New Yorker ran a feature on portraits of prominent New Yorkers in their living rooms.

And the images have been going pretty viral. Featured individuals include Alex Soros,

Huma Abedine, Ella Emhoff, which is Doug Emhoff's daughter, AOC, Reverend Al Sharpton, among others.

And the author, before we get to all these profile photos, she writes, or he writes,

because it doesn't have a name, it's just the New Yorker kind of in general.

What the living room is for, ostensibly, is gathering.

It's the most public facing of a home's spaces, and as such, it bears a particular burden,

that of showcasing to others what the occupants are, the quilt you drape on your couch, the paintings you hang on your walls.
