Let me just share with you just a few moments about the Christmas miracle.

Obviously it's a miracle but there was some normalcy to the miracle that I think we tend to overlook.

The reason I want to say that is because many of us feel very normal, like we just have a normal

life and does God want to do something supernatural in our lives?

Well, when you think about the Christmas miracle,

it ought to give us hope.

Because Joseph and Mary were very normal people.

Mary was probably just an older teenager. Joseph we know was

was older than she was, maybe even in his 30s. Joseph was a carpenter. The

Greek word there is Tecton. If you have bought toys for your children,

the things they put together are billed, you might have seen sometimes we take words from even that

Greek word. It means a builder not just one

that worked with wood but probably one to work with stone also a builder so when you

think about it Joseph went to work let me modernize a little bit he went to work, let me modernize it a little bit, he went to work with a tool belt, a hard hat, and a lunch

lunch box, you know, Just a normal guy. Jesus was, remember, a carpenter, a working man until

he was 30 years old. Matter of fact, when he started preaching and doing miracles, they even said, who did this?

And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

And here's what was their response?

The Carpenter. Now we don't know that they said something like this but probably

someone said something like this. You know he built that deck for us that we have

in our backyard. He was a great guy, he didn't overcharge me. He was real nice. He was always talking about God.
