Number one, 2003 was the year that Messi's senior career started,

and it started not with the Barcelona A team, not with the B team, but with the C team.

He made 10 appearances for the Barcelona C team,

and in those 10 appearances he scored 5 goals

which means he was scoring in at least every other game which he played in not bad for a 16 year

old number 2 in 2004 Messi moved to the senior team where he had to earn his place.
