decision that I'm going to Miami and let's hear more now from the World Cup winner.

Obviously I was very excited and wanted to return to BASA, although after experiencing the exit

that I had, I didn't want to be in that same situation again to wait and leave my future at the

hands of another.

I was afraid the same thing would happen again. I came to Paris and stayed in a hotel where my kids

went to school. I wanted to make my own decision.

I'm also at a stage in my life where I want to get out of the spotlight and think more about my family.

I heard that BASA had to sell players and there were salaries and the truth is I did want to go

through that. These were two years at PSG in which I was not happy. I didn't enjoy myself and

that affected my family life. I missed a lot of my children's lives. The finances weren't a

problem or an obstacle for me and we never even discussed a contract with BASA.

They sent me a proposal but it was never an official written and signed proposal because we didn't

know if it'd be legal yet. We both wanted it but we didn't know if we'd be able to advance anything.

We never talked about money formally. If it was about money I would have gone to Saudi Arabia

or elsewhere. Do you think BASA would have tried everything possible to reassign you?

I don't know. You'd have to ask them. Honestly I don't even know if it was possible.

I just know what Chavi told me. They'd gotten approval from LaLiga.
