Oh that's cool. That's a pilliated woodpecker in the tree up above my house here. I'm in the backyard at home.

I think I might have triggered the door as well. He's a giant black bird with red caps to their heads.

That's unbelievable. We see them maybe once a month here so this is just perfect timing.

I hope you can get out soon as well. I just wanted to say thanks for tuning into our third season of the wild.

We've already started working on season 4 and I'm really excited to bring you even more wonder from the natural world.

It's very rewarding tracking down interesting species and human characters and amazing places and turning them into stories for you.

This planet we live on seems to have a limitless pool of them.
