I hope spring is around the corner for many of us living in the northern hemisphere.

As much as I enjoy the snow, being buried under almost four feet of it with the threat of yet another storm coming is getting a little tiresome.

Anyway, there's not much news to report so we'll go right onto our fourth story for the month of February 2015.

The piece is titled Mehed and is by Rich Larson.

Rich Larson was born in West Africa, has studied in Rhode Island, and in Edmonton, Alberta,

and at 22 now works in a small Spanish town outside Seville.

He won the 2014 Dell Award and the 2012 Rannu Prize for writers of speculative fiction.

His cyberpunk novel, Devolution, was a finalist for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award.

His short work has been nominated for the Theodore Sturgeon and appears or is forthcoming

in Interzone, Light Speed, Strange Horizons, BCS, Apex magazine, OnSpec, and many others, including

Anthologies Years Best SF-32, Years Best Weird Fiction, Upgraded Future future days and war stories.
