Hello, Now in this week's festive Christmas edition of the show how scientists in Japan have developed a system that can read your mind and see what you're seeing just by looking at your brain activity.

Also a scientific solution to make cheap plunk taste half decent which could be good at my Christmas table this year

and also how scientists have used the same technology that's used to make unbreakable

spectacle frames to make earthquake-proof bridges and we'll be hearing how they've done it

in just a second Helen.

so we'll be tackling all your science questions as well as doing a bit of practical research to answer an age-old question.

And now so I'm just going to finish off this Champagne and then we're going to have a go on the test and see if it's impaired my ability at all.

That's an excellent idea.

And I wish I had been the one doing that test, but we'll find out later on whether

the Champagne really does make you drunk more quickly and the lucky one
