It's Christmas Eve, and I'm going to do something a little bit different today.

I'm going to read a story for your children.

So Mailbox Monday is generally the day when I answer questions from listeners.

And one person in particular had said she was frustrated with Christmas.

Another mom said that she was trying to figure out a way that Christmas could be more about

the manger and less about the money.

And as I was looking over the notes for today, I started off kind of going one direction

and decided about halfway through to take it a different direction.

And I thought today might be kind of a fun thing to just, if you've got your kids around you,

this is a great podcast for them to listen to.

I'm going to read a story to you that I've read to my children many times over the years.

And it's one that we love.

I actually love to collect Christmas books.

We have a huge library of Christmas books, picture books, stories, all kinds of things at our house.

And this one is called the Legend of the Christmas Tree.
