The Bible has a lot to say about mercy.

It talks about receiving mercy,

which sometimes we're not very good at.

And it talks about giving mercy,

being merciful to other people.

And you can't really give away what you don't have.

So if you don't receive God's mercy, you'll find it difficult to give other people mercy.

And I would venture to say that there's a lot of people right now hearing this, that you need to receive mercy from God. You see, it's not

about, nothing with Jesus is about getting. We don't get saved, we receive salvation.

We don't get the Holy Ghost. We receive the Holy Spirit. We're always talking about getting salvation. We don't get the Holy Ghost. We receive the Holy Spirit. We're always talking about

getting something. It's all already been provided. What we need to do is just receive it.

The word get means to obtain by struggle and effort. And the word receive means to act like a receptacle
