Welcome to our Royal Street Meditation.

Over these next few days, we'll be reflecting on the crucial distinctions between justice, rights, and entitlements.

Today, justice and mercy.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Let's call to mind all those who promised to pray for.

Justice is not the goal of life.

Charity and mercy are all. Justice is not the goal of life.

Charity and mercy are our final goal.

Justice gives to others what we owe them.

And in justice, we try not to deprive them of what they have a right to.

So justice makes sure that when I'm pursuing my good I don't do it in such a way that harms your good.

But this implies there's a difference, a

tension, a separation between your good and my good. Charity and mercy bridges
