Summary

"You can't allow your past pain to close you off from your future healing."  Pastors Erwin and Aaron McManus talk about one of the most overlooked issues in the church - mental health. Depression and anxiety are a very real struggle for so many of us, and so we felt the need to talk about it as well as what it means to be human.

This episode originally aired on November 14th, 2017, and was recorded live at Mosaic Venice.

And the Hi, my name is A MacManus, and you were listening to the Battle Ready

0:17.4

podcast. Merry Christmas. If you were watching this right now, I am sitting in

0:21.4

front of my parents Christmas tree at my

0:23.5

parents house and I'm sitting on the floor right next to a fire. My dad's watching

0:28.6

football in the background and I am eating their food. But in lieu of the Christmas season,

podcast a few years ago I didn't really feel comfortable speaking in front of

0:48.5

people so I asked my dad could I interview you on stage at Mosaic Venice when we were first

0:54.0

starting he said yes and we began this podcast two years later I did not expect that

1:00.0

it would turn into something so so special but I'm really excited and I really love this episode so if you never listen to it

1:06.5

We wanted to introduce a lot of the new listeners to some of the old stuff. We're playing the hits

1:11.9

So Merry Christmas enjoy this episode and I hope you enjoy it.

1:16.8

One of the subjects that both of us felt was really important right now,

1:22.0

there's just, it's been a really hard week and it's been an

1:24.8

interesting kind of juxtaposition a contrast because eight the last eight

1:30.2

days from Sunday to Sunday were pretty extraordinary days. We saw in that week

1:35.0

148 people step into a relationship with Jesus and follow him in baptism and then

1:40.1

this past Sunday we saw another 117 people respond to Jesus and that's like

1:45.2

265 people in eight days.
