This week's For The Good of the Order is as much for me as it is for you.

I have noticed that I've had a terrible time setting boundaries with my college age kids.

On any given day, I'm either a total dormant or a sleep at the wheel or pandering through

gifts for their attention.

And it took me back to a short section of Tell Me More, the book I wrote a few years back.

Tell Me More is basically a set of stories around 12 sentences that I'm learning to say as

an adult, like I was wrong or good enough or tell me more.

In this case, the sentence that I have been trying to learn to say that sometimes it

leads me is no period.

So here's a short section of the Tell Me More chapter on saying no.

Sexually, professionally, personally, saying no takes balls.

One friend told me her big takeaway from three years and $11,000 of therapy was learned

to say no.

And when you do, don't complain and don't explain.

Every excuse you make is like an invitation to ask you again in a different way.
