Hi guys, for this week's For The Good of the Order, I'm still thinking about Steve

Kerr, the coach of the Warriors, and just one of the neatest people I've ever, ever talked

to.

And W. Kamau Bell, who was also on the pod earlier this week, I had met with them through

PBS, and many things they said kind of overlapped, one of which was that they both had to work

really hard to find their way and their given professions.

Steve Kerr did not have an offer to play basketball and college, and he ended up winning

five NBA titles as a player and three more as a coach.

So, here's the 18-year-old kid who feels rather hopeless and has been cut off from the

thing he loves the most.

And he wiggles his way into things at Arizona, and still, even then, he said that it took

him five years to feel comfortable in the NBA, like he really belonged, took that much

work and growth.

And then Kamau copped to this early stage in his stand-up career where he was doing really

kind of banal material, like kind of low-hanging fruit, dumb jokes about having sex, throwing

people, etc.
