The physical infrastructure package is a big fucking deal.

I mean, there's a BFD, there's no doubt about it.

This is the most money we've ever spent as a country

in the basics like bridges, roads, broadband, and clean water.

But something that got a lot of attention on the internet at least were the six Democratic

no votes for the infrastructure package representatives Bush Bowman

Omar Presley to leave and Ocasio Cortez aka the squad as much as the votes to pass the legislation were critical, I think those six votes said

something too that many people have lost in translation and may have been lost in the discussion, particularly when we consider that the

broader spending package is still very much in the balance. What those six votes

were about was a lack of trust in moderate Democrats, both in the House and in the Senate, like West Virginia

Senator Joe Manchin, who took a $6 trillion package to a $3.5 trillion package to now

a $1.75 dollar package. They were also about a group of

moderates who insisted that money for health care and housing and child
