So, very exciting news about the Menendez brothers.

So this is just kind of a update, a quick update about what happened last week. And what happened was the district

attorney for Los Angeles County, George Gascon, held the press conference where he was

said he was going to recommend to the court that the brothers be resentenced from life without the possibility of

parole and to be resentenced for murder, not manslaughter, but murder, but meaning resentenced

to a specific sentence, not life without parole.

So if you recall, they were originally sentenced to the death penalty.

But then the death penalty in California kind of went away.

They were resentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

And now he's asking them, he's asking a court to approve that they be resentenced again for

murder and just given a specific sentence being eligible for parole.

And so the sentence that they would get for murder would be, because there were two murders,

it would be 50 years to life, 25 years to life times two.

But because they were both under the age of 26 at the time that they committed the murders,

they would be eligible for parole sooner and basically eligible for parole right now
