And recently, I asked you guys to shoot me an email if you had some thoughts on your mind about the Lakers. And I had an old friend reach out, Tox from good old Lakers ground.

And he asked a question, D, that's been ringing in my ears for the last couple of days that I wanted to start out with on the pod.

Now, I wanted to center this around the center position and that big man spot

and kind of how the Lakers should

approach this off season, how much should they be committed toward getting the guy at that spot

that they want to commit to and the best player that they can versus sort of a stopgap solution.

And the nature of Tox's question to me is the idea of that Mendoza line, we've been talking about with

athleticism, right? And his question was if the Lakers could just get another guy or two

while keeping the same core intact that adds to this, whether it's via free agency, you've got

the draft, the Lakers have some money tied up in either non-rotational players or players who

don't get that much. But if you

could upgrade the athleticism, and I would extend this to the big man spot, to the five spot as

well, how much does just having a center, how much does just reaching a certain floor at a couple
