Leal, what an absolute privilege and pleasure, and it is so hard to say goodbye to this beloved

tractate, Manachos. We feel like we hardly knew ye, but this has really been an incredible

tractate that I playfully called vegan sacrificial offerings.

Sacrificial offerings for vegans.

This entire tractate has been about sacrifices that include oil and frankincense and flour,

which is the actual term, Minahot is a flower offering. The common denominator in all

of these offerings is that they are vegan, but there is something even more profound and even

more powerful underneath this tractate. And I think you only really come to that realization

when you begin to consider the other topics and ideas

that are discussed within this tractate. As we've mentioned many, many times, every

tractate has a theme and a personality of its own. And the way that you discover or uncover

the central theme of a tractate is both by examining the actual topic,

but also kind of asking yourself, why do these other side topics come up here?

And there are two side topics that come up in tractate, Manahot.
