All right, everybody, welcome back to Battleground Podcast. We are doing the second part of my interview with the great Rob Pynhold. Now Rob was my radio telephone

operator in Afghanistan. I voluntarily told him to do it. It's not something that

he picked and then now he got out of the military

and he's the CEO of Klaymore Ops which is a mentorship program for

transitioning veterans so serve this country in uniform. He continues to serve

those who serve us, even now. He's a great, great American and I'm psyched to have our second part of our

conversation today.

So we like talk for about an hour the first episode and I guess we were solving the problems of the world I don't know

I really just want to like just jump right into Afghanistan now we had a rough deployment anybody who's watched this or knows about me or

or subscribe to this podcast.

You probably have heard the story of Outlaw platoon from me in a couple different ways but the reason why I'm bringing

my soldiers on it's just because they give a completely different perspective on the fight there.

And I want to do everything that I can to elevate their stories as well.

And so, Afghanistan was hell for me.

Like I still think about it every day in some way. I mean I'm not saying that it like completely dominates my thoughts.

But I mean literally every day something will happen to be like be like, oh, man, that kind of reminds me this,

or, you know, that time we were in Afghanistan smelled like this,

you know what I mean, Rob?

Yeah, yeah.
