Hey everybody welcome to

welcome to battleground podcast this week is a very special and patriotic week

obviously the 4th of July was was yesterday special and

this week we have a fourth of July was was yesterday. I'm hoping that you're still in a patriotic mood and this week we have a very very special guest.

It's it's a guy that I served with name Robert Penholt.

Rob was one of my soldiers in outlaw platoon. I voluntarily told him to to be my

radio telephone operator which means that he was basically he managed all of my

radios and he was basically with me everywhere I went in Afghanistan whether it was in my truck or in the midst of a

firefight, Rob was always there. So he has, I think, a very unique

perspective as to what happened on that 16-month hellish combat

deployment. But Rob is a fairly incredible guy, you know. He rose to be a leader in

outlaw platoon. He's somebody that I still consider a dear friend today, and Rob is still surprisingly which is the case with so

many of the men and women who serve this country in uniform in combat Rob is

still serving his community and his country in so many awesome ways and we're going to get into it.
